    Asus dually?

    Hey Dave, How well do those ASUS boards OC for ya?

    hmmmm well ok i guess, 140 to 142 on the FSB, but its a bit hot i here now so:1020: :cursing:

      X is shopping for a new setup and was wondering. I guess he tried to register while you were away and couldn't. ;)

        yep i have to vet eatch person

        but i would say the MSI K7D Master is better. it will OC more and it dont keep rebooting when it get :1020: ect

            Dave, are you sure this isn't because you're not using Registered DDR?

            The one I bought off you absolutely rocks :thumbsup: - solid as a rock with MP2000's and Registered DDR. :D

                No, not as yet - don't have time to test how far it'll go (mainly due to one of my other PC's playing silly buggers).

                I reckon it'll hit about 1750, maybe 1800 no sweat with this HSF. :D Problem is I like to sleep at night so have to turn the CPU fans down to low - not ideal with a heavy overclock in the summer!

                    Gotta say I love my K7D's - only ever had 1 prob and that was a lockup, but I knew one the XP1700's was on the edge @ 144 & default volts - all sorted now :)

                    Seem to think Turbopower said he got an extra 50MHz OC switching from Asus to MSI wit same CPUs :D

                      yep :yer: they do & if i had the cash i would replace all my Asus's with K7D's

                      coz its warm in ere mine are @142......Asus's i'll be lucky if they hold 138
